Horse Assisted Therapy for Veterans

Mr. Howard Morrison is a Williamstown, Massachusetts native and has lived in Texas since 2004. Howard has been employed by the Texas Education Agency for over seven years and currently serves as the Statewide Coordinator for the Curriculum Division. Howard's efforts are primarily spent on education policy and managing over $70 million in federal and state grants and contracts awarded to institutes of Higher Education, Public Schools, and Regional Education Service Centers.

Howard currently is a representative on the following education advisory councils and boards:

Texas Head Start State Collaboration Office Advisory Board (THSSCO)
Texas Training and Technical Assistance Collaborative Partners (TTTACP)
Early Childhood Health and Nutrition Interagency Council (SB 395)
Texas Rising Star Workgroup (HB 376)
Outside of work, Howard has been an avid equestrian since the first grade. Howard showed in hunters, jumpers and equitation competitively through college, and rode professionally for three years. He currently travels in and out-of-state multiple times a year to judge various horse shows. Additionally, Howard is active in his comunity Home Owners Association (HOA) at the Palm Condominimum Community, Inc., where he currently sits as the president.

Mr. Morrison holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
