Horse Assisted Therapy for Veterans "As prey animals, horses are hypervigilant until they learn they are not in danger. ... Because of their own hypervigilance, veterans with PTSD easily understand and can relate to the trust and hypervigilance in a horse."  Read more about Horse Assisted Therapy.

Trail Ride at Mesquite Creek Ranch - May 9th, 2020

HARTH is hosting its' first annual trail ride at the scenic Mesquite Creek Ranch in Lampasas TX.  With 3 trails totaling 10 miles there is something for everyone! 

This is a unique opportunity to take in the magnificance of this privately owned ranch featuring beautiful landscapes, creeks, and more. 

Lunch will be provided and there will be door prizes and a raffle.  All proceeds go to benefit HARTH and will be used to help fund the therapeutic riding programs for those with special needs as well as the veteran programs focused on mental health and wellness. 

The cost is $45 in advance, $50 at the event. 

More information along with registration packets will be available by the end of February.
