Horsemanship I is a 6-week course starting Saturday April 8th 2017.

Class takes place from 10:30am until 12:30pm and is a great introduction to working with and around horses.  The purpose of this course is to study the proper management, care, and handling of a horse. Topics will include horse behavior, basic groundwork, haltering, leading, horse behaviors, round pen work, proper lounging techniques, basic horse anatomy, basic pressure techniques, lameness and judging. Participants emphasis will be on hands on participation and will have adequate time to apply these principles to a horse. Goals will be set and participants will work to reach these goals.  This course is FREE to veterans and open to others for a fee of $100 (which works out to under $17/class).
