HARTH Foundation Programs and Services

Therapeutic Riding/Equine Assisted Learning - Equine Assisted Services (EAS):  Whether it's a five-year-old with Down syndrome, a 45-year-old recovering from an injury, a senior citizen recovering from a stroke or a teenager struggling with depression, research shows that individuals of all ages who participate in equine assisted activities and therapies can experience physical and emotional rewards. For individuals with emotional challenges, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience and self-esteem.

Life is Stressful...Ride a Horse!:  These days everyone is could use a little "me" time and a way to relieve some stress/anxiety!  Studies have shown that riding a horse is a great way to elevate your mood and improve your overall outlook!   All skill levels are welcome in this program!  This program is suitable for ages 9 and up.  Class sizes are kept small and this is a great way to learn how to ride or improve your riding skills.  These sessions are taught by a seasoned equestrian trainer (also PATH certified instructor) who is highly respected in the horse industry!

Veteran Programs:  HARTH has a set of programs that are free of charge to veterans and active duty service members (and at low-cost to their immediate families) with the goal of helping to improve their quality of life. HARTH Foundation focuses on mental health and well-being, including readjustment issues.  HARTH's Horsemanship Class Series works with horses on the ground and though we do not incorporate riding activities in this set of programs, major therapeutic benefits can result.

If you would prefer to work one-on-one with our equine instructor, you can schedule a private (or semi-private) session directly with our instructor.  Please contact Jereny Johnson, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
