Horse Assisted Therapy for Veterans "As prey animals, horses are hypervigilant until they learn they are not in danger. ... Because of their own hypervigilance, veterans with PTSD easily understand and can relate to the trust and hypervigilance in a horse."  Read more about Horse Assisted Therapy.

Samson Showing in VermontSamson (aka "Sammy) is a gorgous, dark bay warmblood.  Of all the horses in the barn, he is the one that most craves human interaction.  He is thrilled to be with people and led around, groomed, bathed and paid attention to.  The more attention he gets, the happier he is.  As a show horse, he was an incredible equitation horse at the top levels of the US.  He has competed in all the 'big medal' classes including placing 14th out of a crowd of over 270 horses at the prestigous Medal Finals in Harrisburg, PA.  He has been 'in the ribbons' at many of the top shows in the country including Vermont, Thermal, CA, Kentucky, Texas to name a few.  Sammy enjoys playing 'hide and seek' with carrots (or really any treat!) and looks forward to nosing through your pockets!
