HARTH - Healing and Recovery Through Horses

HARTH is a Texas non-profit located in Burnet, just NW of Austin on the shores of Lake Buchanan.  The Texas Hill Country is the perfect environment to escape the hectic demands of everyday life, and focus on healing and recovery with the horses that are the heartbeat of the HARTH EAAT (Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies) programs.

HARTH Foundation recognizes and values the healing relationship between people and animals. We, along with our therapy horses, volunteers, and community partners, strive to bring that healing to as many Central Texans as possible through a variety of equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) programs. Situated among the natural beauty of the Highland Lakes, HARTH's mission is to enhance the health of people and our community through relationships with horses. HARTH serves those with a variety of physical, emotional and mental challenges through our PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified therapeutic riding program, and through our equine assisted learning (EAL) programs.  HARTH also offers healing programs for combat veterans and their families to improve mental health, well-being, and quality of life. At HARTH, both the horses and the environment in general are an integral part of the healing process.

In addition, HARTH is providing EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) services through a partnership with Heart of Hope Healing.  The EAP licesned therapists are Natural Lifemanship professionals.  These services are available to everyone who would like to participate .

HARTH Foundation strives to provide our clients a safe community for healing and we need support.   If you’d like to help support our mission, please donate now!
